Description
Among the "New Classics" collection of the Falesco Famiglia Cottarella company there is also the Chardonnay Lazio IGP Tellus Falesco, a wine produced from 100% Chardonnay grapes, grown in the vineyards of the property and which presents a perfect balance between the delicacy of the fruity and the persistence of taste, which surprises with every sip. Its name comes from the earth goddess Tellus, whose cult was already celebrated in Ancient Rome. The reference area is located in the municipality of Castiglione in Teverina, one of the localities where the company's vines are located, between Lazio and Umbria. A hilly area characterized by sandy soils, rich in lava and various mineral salts which give the grapes the right balance between sugar and acidity. Native species such as Trebbiano, Malvasia and Roscetto are grown on about 100 hectares, as well as other international types such as Merlot and Syrah. The Chardonnay Lazio PGI Tellus Falesco, in particular, is born after careful control of all the production phases, from the manual harvest, in mid-September, to the cold fermentation, which gives the wine particular organoleptic qualities. It is an everyday and convivial wine, fresh, fragrant, delicate with fruity notes that goes very well with appetizers or fish dishes with a simple and not too elaborate taste. The finish is savory, pleasant and pleasantly round.
