'Middle Earth' Verdicchio di Matelica DOC La Monacesca 2015

Verdicchio Matelica Terra di Mezzo Doc is a white wine that comes from the La Monacesca winery. The company born about 50 years ago is one of the best expressions of the Marche region which has always been suited to viticulture thanks to the care, passion and attention towards an area of high value. The grapes come from Verdicchio vines grown on a predominantly clayey soil and favored by the mild climate typical of the Marches. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand in October, followed by soft pressing, while fermentation takes place in steel tanks and lasts about 15 days. The refinement takes place on the fine lees, always in steel tanks and has a duration of 3 years. Verdicchio Matelica Terra di Mezzo DOC is an elegant and harmonious white wine that lends itself well to ready-to-drink, but can evolve in the cellar if stored correctly thanks to its good longevity.
