Recommended glass

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

Tignanello Antinori represents a real milestone in the history of the most important, historical and famous wines of Italy. Born way back in 1971, it still continues to fascinate Italian and international connoisseurs, year after year. The wine is the work of the Marchesi Antinori, passionate winemakers for over 600 years and, precisely by the hand of Giacomo Tachis, patriarch of Italian winemakers and absolute forerunner of many winemaking projects and successes. The wine takes its name from the homonymous hill located in the heart of the Chianti Classico. The estate includes 127 hectares of vineyards and a sumptuous sixteenth-century manor house that belonged to various families, members of the Florentine nobility. The success of Tignanello Antinori is marked by the combination of traditional production methods and a strong innovative spirit: in fact, it is the first wine ever to blend Sangiovese (80%) with small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc and also represents the first Sangiovese (prevalence) in the world to be aged in small barrels, or in barriques. Together with Sassicaia, Tachis creates, from scratch, what will become the famous category of Supertuscan wines in the future, i.e. great wines produced in Tuscany, but not necessarily with native grapes and aged for a long time in wooden barrels (mainly barriques). The result is a high-level red wine, an opulent and harmonious aristocratic Tuscan wine, with a wide aromatic baggage, which can be enjoyed immediately and above all in the years to come. Powerful and very balanced, true excellence of the Italian winemaker!
