Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC 'Malandrino' Cataldi Madonna 2021

The Malandrino Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC is a wine that is born at the Cataldi Madonna di Ofena winery. It is a very old company whose founder has the merit of having believed in an abandoned territory and of being able to enhance it. The grapes come from the Trebbiano vines, grown on soils rich in limestone and clay, located about 450 meters above sea level. The training system can be espalier or pergola depending on the position. The climate is an element in favor for the plant, as it can take advantage of the cool currents that descend from the Gran Sasso mountains. After the harvest, the best grapes are selected and subjected to fermentation in steel, following which the wine ages on the fine lees for a few months, after which it is ready to be bottled and marketed. The Malandrino Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC is persistent and balanced and is well suited for immediate drinking.
