Straddling Umbria and Lazio, in the municipality of Castel Viscardo in the province of Terni, the Rosso Umbria IGP Trentanni Falesco is produced in the Cotarella family's Falesco cellar. The company has an area dedicated to vines of about 280 hectares (plus ninety for rent), in a hilly area with soils of volcanic origin, sedimentary with clay peaks, very profitable for the cultivation of the vine. The crops are both native and international grapes and therefore we can find rows of Malvasia, Trebbiano, Aleatico, Verdicchio and Vermentino as well as Viognier, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet and Sangiovese. The Rosso Umbria PGI Trentanni Falesco is made from red berried grapes and more precisely 50% Merlot and the remaining 50% Sangiovese from 5 hectares of vines located about 300 meters above sea level, in the Montecchio area . It is a thick wine, left in barrique for over 12 months after fermentation and is to be enjoyed with friends on special occasions. It is an Umbrian red of great elegance and depth, which stands out for its typicality and softness, it represents the fruit of the experience, studies and knowledge gained over the decades at Falesco around the Merlot and Sangiovese varieties. Curiosity: wine produced for the first time with the 2009 vintage, it is, as its name suggests, expressly desired and created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Falesco, founded in 1979 by Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella, great internationally renowned winemakers .
