'U Neigru' Rosso Possa 2021

Rosso U Neigru is a wine made by the Ligurian winery Possa , dedicated to enhancing the local terroir. The label is obtained from a blend that includes several native dark berried grapes. The plots are located in a unique landscape near Riomaggiore. The forty-five-year-old vines sink their roots into the sandy soil of the steep hills typical of the Cinque Terre. In this sense, the manual harvest, which involves selecting the best bunches, represents an example of heroic viticulture. Once in the cellar, the grapes are left to macerate on the skins for 5 days, to then ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in old oak and chestnut barrels. In the same vats the wine remains for a few months to refine its scents. Excellent already after bottling, Rosso U Neigru can also be appreciated after 2-3 years of careful storage in the cellar.
