Industry experts consider the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "Ugolaia" an authentic symbol of the Lisini winery and of Montalcino. This wine, as required by the disciplinary, is obtained from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes, a fine native variety of Tuscany. The aging is carried out in Slavonian oak barrels of variable volume from 20 to 52 HI for a period of 48 months. Further refinement in the bottle for 6/8 months. It can therefore be seen that the wine is made in the cellar with a classic approach, trying to maintain the elegant and sober style that has made its name famous throughout the world. An attitude that Carlo Lisini comments as follows: «we are purists of Sangiovese because we can afford it». The result is a refinedly sumptuous wine, with its territorial character, which is expressed in a beautiful and powerful aromatic complexity, with hints of ripe red fruit, flowers and licorice in evidence.
