Vermentino di Sardegna DOC 'Billia' Giovanni Maria Cherchi 2021

Billia Vermentino di Sardegna DOC is an excellent and elegant white wine produced by the Sardinian winery Giovanni Maria Cherchi. The name pays homage to the founder of the company, whose nickname is Billia. This Vermentino di Sardegna, obtained from the vinification of the vine of the same name, perfectly represents its terroir of origin. The vines are grown on a hilly area at about two hundred meters above sea level and have their roots in a clayey-calcareous soil. Once harvested, the grapes are subjected to soft pressing and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. Maturation also takes place exclusively in steel containers and lasts for a period not exceeding six months, after which the Billia Vermentino di Sardegna DOC is bottled. A fresh wine, pleasantly fruity and with intense floral notes that make it particularly elegant; it is a dry wine, without harshness; pleasantly fresh and savory. It has a balanced body and structure, with a good taste-olfactory correspondence which also makes it harmonious and elegant.
