'Vernatsch Alte Reben Gschleier' Schiava Alto Adige DOC Girlan 2021

The Gschleier Schiava Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC is a red wine with character made with savoir faire by the Girlan winery. This label comes to life in one of the most famous wine-growing areas of South Tyrol, namely the town of Cornaiano. A favorable temperature range, combined with soils with a good mineral content, creates the most favorable conditions for the development of high quality berries. At the base of the red wine there are 100% Schiava grapes, one of the most famous and distinctive in the province of Bolzano. The harvest takes place at the end of September and involves the choice of the best bunches. The fermentation of the must, once the sweet pressing of the berries has taken place, takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is left to age for 9 months in French oak barrels and finally bottled, where it can rest for a further 6 months. Gschleier Schiava Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC is a refined and elegant wine, medium-bodied, intense but not invasive, making it perfect for a romantic dinner for couples.
