Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass

Large Goblet
Glass
It is the perfect boblet for red wines with good structure and intensity; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is made possible by contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous dimensions of the chalice.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 2-3 years.

Description

The Verso Sud Susumaniello Valle d'Itria PGI is a wine produced at the I Pastini winery in Martina Franca. The combination of ancient tradition and modern technology is the philosophy on which this young company is based. The grapes come from the Susumaniello vines, grown on clayey and medium-textured soils located about 500 meters above sea level. Thanks to the breezy climate, the plants are able to reach optimal ripening. The training systems adopted are counter-espalier and spurred cordon. After the manual harvest and the selection of the best grapes, the grapes are destemmed and macerated on the skins. Subsequently, it is aged for 4 months in steel and 6 months in barriques. Before being put on the market, the wine needs a further 3 months of rest in glass. Verso Sud Susumaniello Valle d'Itria PGI is a structured and soft wine perfect for immediate drinking, but can evolve in the cellar for another 3 years.
