The Vieux Pineau Des Charentes Blanc Cognac Jean Fillioux was born right in the heart of the famous Cognac region, home of the best distillates from all over the world, where the Domaine de La Pouyade is located, which has been owned by the Fillioux family for five generations. The 63 hectares of the estate are characterized by a particularly calcareous soil and a milder climate than in other areas of central France. Here the best variety of Ugni Blanc vines is grown, from which wines suitable for distillation are obtained as they are characterized by high acidity and low alcohol content. The harvest is generally carried out between the end of September and the beginning of October and then the wines are subjected to a typical double distillation. The result is a product with unique qualities: great finesse, full and soft body, a floral and fruity bouquet and a great aptitude for aging, such as the Vieux Pineau Des Charentes Blanc Cognac Jean Fillioux, 100% produced by Ugni Blanc and particularly suitable for special occasions. It is a fortified sweet wine, but cloying, which the French even recommend, chilled, as an aperitif.
