Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description
Villa Pattono Barbera D'Asti DOCG Superiore is a full-bodied red wine produced by the Renato Ratti winery, an institution of Langhe winemaking. This label, which pays homage to the centuries-old villa now converted into an accommodation facility, is obtained from the single-variety vinification of Barbera grapes. The local variety is expressed in an excellent way also thanks to the skilful work between the rows. In September the bunches are selected and harvested by hand. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are pressed and left to ferment inside large thermo-conditioned stainless steel containers. After two weeks the wine is ready for refinement which initially involves a passage of a year in barriques to finally conclude with a rest of 6 months in glass after bottling. Villa Pattono Barbera D'Asti DOCG Superiore can be appreciated immediately, as well as following a further evolution of 4-5 years in the cellar.
