Vinopuro's advices
Recommended glass
Glass
Ballon flute
Glass
It is the perfect goblet for classic method sparkling wines (or champenoise) and champagne: being narrow, with a pointed bottom, it favors the development of bubbles (perlage), avoiding their dispersion; the body of this glass is a little wider than a classic flute and favors the perception of more intense and complex aromas.

Description

Fascinated by the diversity of aromatic expression of Pinot Noir from Champagne , Louis Roederer elaborates his Vintage cuvée on the structure and power of Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims, where the vines, facing north-east, are slower to ripen. The personality of this great wine is beautifully refined and intensified over time, aging in wooden barrels.

Made with 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay and with a proportion of 30% of wines vinified in wooden barrels, the Vintage cuvée is aged on lees for an average of 4 years, to which is added a rest of at least 6 months after disgorgement to perfect its maturity.

The mouth is typical of Louis Roederer's vintages: a broad and deep attack, a vinous and rich roundness refined by the sweetness, the dense texture and the acidity of the Verzenay Pinot noirs. The whole is perfectly integrated into a subtle texture. During the tasting, bright memories of candied fruit, marzipan, toasted bread and white chocolate or caramel appear. Superb.
