Meisei Akashi Whiskey is one of the fine Japanese malt distillates from White Oak Distillery. This distillery is located in Akashi, on the southern coast of Japan; the company is now universally considered the leading producer of malt distillates in the Rising Sun. The whiskey in question is produced in limited quantities, in order to guarantee a production of the highest quality; in fact, the creative process is followed carefully, in every phase, by the company's expert staff. To make it, wheat and barley malt are used: this cereal grows luxuriantly in the Akashi area, thanks to the humid climate produced by its proximity to the sea. After the malting and infusion phases, the must is left to ferment with the lees for a few days and is finally distilled. Before being bottled, the whiskey is left to age for five years in American oak barrels. The Meisei Akashi Whiskey thus obtained is a long-lasting, soft and well-balanced distillate. Amber color, quite dry, with hints of vanilla, intense and elegant. Extraordinary.
