'Zi Filicella' Aglianico Irpinia DOC Ciro Picariello 2019

Zi Filicella Aglianico Irpinia DOC is a red wine produced by the Campania winery Ciro Picariello . The label is obtained from the exclusive vinification of Aglianico grapes, a particularly representative variety of the denomination. The vines are seventy years old and are located near Montemarano at 600 meters above sea level. Here they meet an ideal environment for their development, thanks to the sun exposure to the east and the mainly clayey soils. At the end of a meticulous work between the rows the manual harvest takes place. Once in the cellar, the bunches are destemmed and the grapes are placed to ferment in large stainless steel tanks with careful temperature control. The refinement phase always takes place in steel containers and lasts about two years. Excellent right from the start, Zi Filicella Aglianico Irpinia DOC is a red that lends itself to giving pleasant surprises even after 3-4 years of further evolution.
