Glass
It is the perfect glass for structured, intense, aged red wines or potentially suitable for refinement; this type of wine certainly needs to "open" (that means to better develop its aromatic, intense and complex profile) and this is possible by the prolonged contact with oxygen (oxygenation) which, in fact, is facilitated by the generous cup size.

This wine is ready to be tasted now, with great satisfaction; however, it has qualities that allow it to evolve and refine over time, if properly stored, for at least another 7-8 years.

Description

The Barolo DOCG Rocche di Castiglione, from the Oddero winery, is a wine with a robust and velvety body, well structured and balanced in the bouquet. The farm, located in the Langhe area, aims to create products closely linked to the territory and tradition: this always happens in full respect of the environment and the principles of the organic method. For the Barolo DOCG Rocche di Castiglione, pure Nebbiolo grapes are used, native to Piedmont and so called due to their slightly opaque colour. The vineyards are grown on calcareous soils, characterized by optimal exposure to the sun's rays; the harvest is carried out by hand, in boxes, just as we learned from the master winemakers of the past. Soft and refined red, the Barolo DOCG Rocche di Castiglione is left to refine for 27 months in large wooden barrels and for another 9 in French oak barriques, a process that gives the final result a perfect stage of maturation.
