André Lurton's Rouge Bordeaux by Chateau Bonnet represents an important expression of the wines of this famous French region. The company has ancient origins and over the centuries has developed a deep knowledge of the area and its wines. Its vineyards extend for 800 hectares and are divided into 10 distinct autonomous Chateaux, equipped with vineyards and cellars. Chateau Bonnet is located between two rivers, Dordogne and Garonne, defined locally as Entre-Deux-Mers. The typically Atlantic climate does not in any way affect the vineyards which are protected from the impetuous sea breezes. Summers are often dry, but allow the grapes to concentrate and ripen perfectly. The vineyards from which Chateau Bonnet's Rouge Bordeaux comes are managed with biodynamic agriculture in full respect of the surrounding nature. The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are harvested manually and vinified separately with the most innovative technologies which allow to protect their organoleptic characteristics. The wines produced are mixed (in equal parts) and aged in steel tanks and bottles. The result is a round, soft, intense, but not opulent wine. Rich in fruity scents, aromatic, slightly tannic, fragrant. It can age for a few years in the cellar, but without exaggerating.
