Naturalis Historia Taurasi DOCG is a red wine with an important structure, produced by the Mastroberardino cellar in Campania. It is obtained from the vinification of grapes of the native Aglianico variety, which are grown near the Mirabella Eclano estate. The south-east facing plots rise approximately 400 meters above sea level and boast volcanic and sandy soils, with a high percentage of clay and limestone. The harvest takes place towards the end of October with manual selection of the best bunches. Once in the cellar, the grapes are left to ferment with maceration on the skins for almost a month at a monitored temperature. The refinement lasts two years and takes place in French oak barriques. Before being marketed, the wine rests for two and a half years in the bottle. Excellent right from the start, Naturalis Historia Taurasi DOCG boasts considerable potential for further evolution over a few years.
